If you’re an annual passholder at Walt Disney World and are wondering how everyone’s getting those passholder magnets you see everywhere- keep reading!
Disney doesn’t have a set schedule on when magnets are realeased, but you can expect around 4-5 different ones in a year. Over last year, I got a Figment, Hei Hei, Mickey and Minnie, Dumbo, and this Stitch one! There was also an Oswald magnet but I missed the distribution for that one. Typically, they go along with a certain event or festival, especially at Epcot where they are usually distributed. The current Stitch magnet is available until June 26th!
That brings me to my next tip which is where to get the magnets in the park and how do you know when they are being distributed. I received emails from Disney Destinations outlining things to do for passholders and where to pick up the newest one. All but one of the magnets I picked up were at the Creations Shop in Epcot. When magnets are being distributed, you really can’t miss it- there will be a queue set up outside the entrance you would pass on the way to the World Showcase, as well as a yellow sign indicating the magnet distribution. The line may look intimidating but it moves super fast! Be sure to have your magic band or card ready as well as a photo ID to keep the line moving, and remember you get one magnet per person!
The other time I picked up a magnet was at Animal Kingdom in Dinoland U.S.A. I don’t have pictures from that trip but it was a super easy pickup with almost no line, likely because people did not know about it.
